CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
A written or verbal confirmation from the client to proceed with the event will be taken as acceptance of our quotation and terms and conditions
NUMBERS
All prices quoted are for a specific number of guests and any changes in numbers will affect the menu price. Confirmation of minimum numbers is required 14 days prior to the event and final numbers are to be confirmed seven days prior to the event, unless otherwise advised in writing, after which time any decrease in numbers cannot be accepted and the full charge will be made
CANCELLATION
Cancellation charges are payable for cancellation of an event which has been confirmed verbally or in writing by the client where costs have been incurred in respect of food, labour, or other services. Additionally, 50% of the staff fee will be payable to staff for cancellation 48 hours prior to the event. For cancellation within 24 hours of the event the full staff fee will be payable
CONSULTANCY FEE
A consultancy fee of £25.00 +VAT will be charged for each meeting with the client within Glasgow. For meeting outside Glasgow the fee will be advised at the time of estimating. This fee is not chargeable if the event proceeds. Receipt of these terms & conditions will be taken as your acceptance of this term.
PAYMENT
Settlement of 50% is required 7 days in advance of the event. For events booked more than two months in advance, or for clients previously unknown to us, a deposit will be requested at the time of booking. We shall be entitled to withdraw our service should payment not be received by the stated date and to charge the client for any costs so far incurred. Where payment terms are exceeded we shall be entitled to interest on the amount that is overdue at the Bank of Scotland plc Base Rate plus 4% calculated on a day to day basis. Any legal charges incurred in the recovery of money or goods will be paid by the client
MARKET FLUCTUATIONS
We reserve the right to alter prices or substitute ingredients due to market fluctuations, but will not do so without prior consultation with the client.
FOOD & WINE TASTINGS
All food and labour costs incurred in arranging food and wine tastings will be fully charged to the client
STAFF FEES
The quotation provided to the client for staff fees is based on the estimated length of time staff are required (minimum charge - 4 hours). Where events extend beyond the estimated time, an additional charge will be made at the appropriate hourly rate.
The fees quoted cover travelling time in Central Glasgow. For journeys outside Glasgow, travelling time (at half the hourly rate) and travelling costs to and from the event must be paid for by the client.
STAFF TRANSPORT
A charge will be made for transport home for any staff who leave an event after 11.00 pm
WINES, SPIRITS & SOFT DRINKS
Wines and Champagnes are sold by the bottle. Wines, Champagne and spirits are sold on a sale or return basis for full bottles of wine or unopened bottles of spirits. We cannot accept responsibility for any remaining drink left at the venue after an event. Where we have not provided the drinks, a charge of £5.00 + VAT per dozen will be made for removing and disposing of any empty bottles.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
If the property or sub-contracted property of Mise en Place is accidentally, wilfully, or negligently damaged, stolen or lost at an event, the replacement cost is payable by the client
EQUIPMENT HIRE
The client is responsible for any loss or damage to hired equipment from the time of delivery until it is collected by the company or sub-contracted company or returned by the client.
Equipment at all times remains the property of the company or sub-contracted company
Delivery of equipment hire is door to door. Our staff is not allowed to move furniture. Clients should ensure that they or their representatives are at the delivery address to receive equipment hire. If restricted access to the building causes delay in the delivery of equipment hire an additional charge will be made.
No responsibility can be accepted for injury caused by the use of the equipment hire.
INSURANCE
The client is strongly advised to take out full insurance cover for the event and particularly for any breakage, damage or loss of hired equipment as no claim can be accepted by Mise en Place
FORCE MAJEURE
We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to provide the service as a result of any act or circumstances beyond the company's reasonable control including but not limited to Act of God, legislation, war, fire, drought, failure of power supply, lock-out or strike.
